WHY PEMF?
Because all their life they do everything for us, give back a little for them!
Increase joint mobility and flexion while decreasing pain that arises from inflammation, over working, and arthritic changes in the joints.
Increase lymphatic drainage for horses suffering from allergies and increased levels of inflammation in the body, even Anhidrosis.
Rapidly increase healing time by promoting blood flow, cellular regeneration, the proliferation of stem cells, and oxygenation to tissue. Close and heal wounds with less stall time.
Relieve body pain, soreness, and tension. Unwanted behaviors and attitude changes can start arising when horses are sore. Unwillingness to move forward, accept bit pressure, or kicking out can be seen.
Increase strength and stamina: Equine athletes being used for competition need strong propulsion from behind and great carriage throughout the body, which cannot be achieved when they are in pain.
PEMF results speak for themselves!
PEMF helps horses release tension that’s been bottled up
When a horse releases tension in their body, you will see them lick, chew, yawn, roll out their tongue from side to side., roll their eyes back, blow nasal drainage out, grin, quiver their lips, and stretch!
FAQs and Reviews!
What is the most common condition you get inquiries on for help?
A vast majority of my equine clients are seeking body evaluations on their horse to work out tension and muscle soreness that may be present due to training, riding, or even due to their horse getting stiff with older age.
Can you come to my farm so I don't have to trailer my horse?
Yes! Most of my equine sessions are farm calls. It is more beneficial for the horse to be able to relax and go back to eating hay in their turn out after their session versus getting on a trailer and going for a bumpy ride down the road. If by chance you are located outside of my service area, I do have a location you can trailer to for sessions.
How often would my horse benefit from PEMF Therapy?
This can depend on the amount of use and stress the horse is under. If the horse is being used rather leisurely, a session every 4 -6 weeks is very beneficial. Horses that are undergoing training and are ridden 5 days a week would benefit from at least a weekly session!
Horses that have obtained an injury or are laid up benefit from more frequent visits of at least twice a week to increase healing and reduce the amount of time at stall rest. This can vary with the situation and there is not a set protocol. Each individual will be worked on at a schedule that is most beneficial for the horse and owner.
My horse tore a tendon, can PEMF aid in my horses recovery?
YES! This is without a doubt a very heartbreaking situation sometimes and as an equine owner myself, all I want is for my horses to be able to move freely and happily on their own once healed, even if they cannot be ridden again. Pemf helps to stimulate the formation of soft tissue, reduce inflammation, and promote oxygenated blood to the the injury to increase healing. I have had great success bringing horse back into riding after their future had been deemed questionable from a tendon injury.
My retired horse has been very lame and we found she has ringbone. I want to keep her comfortable, can PEMF help?
Indeed it can! I have worked on elderly horses that have been suffering from ringbone. Now PEMF will not make the ringbone dissipate, as we all know there is no cure, but it is very helpful in relieving the pain, inflammation, and brining new blood and oxygen to the affected area. Horses move more sound after sessions.
Is this safe to use right before competition?
Yes and I highly recommend doing so! You want your equine athlete to be feeling at the top of his game before the judges. There is no down time needed after a session and there are no restrictions at competitions for PEMF sessions. I can also be found or requested to attend shows so clients can have their horses worked on after the day is over and as the show continues on.
“My 8 year old gelding, who has never taken a lame step in the 4 years that I have owned him, came up lame in his right front during a lesson while preparing for a national finals event. I was beyond worried and nervous. I contacted Lindsey the following morning under the advisement of my trainer. Lindsey was quick to respond and worked me into her schedule that afternoon. She was able to pinpoint several sore and out of whack spots. Her treatment was gentle and quick. She had great horse sense and my gelding seemed very at ease with her and the treatment. I was able to go back to light riding the next day. My gelding is moving and feeling normal. Would highly recommend Lindsey and her PEMF therapy”. Kim H.
“I had 3 of my horses worked on and was very fascinated by how much they were licking and chewing and seemed to be getting out of their sessions--for those who have not been around horses much but more so for those of us who have been--horses don't lie. They're not pretentious in the least and don't ever try to pull any wool over your eyes. My horses are endurance horses--they have all done 50 mile rides or more. They've earned their soreness in other words--not that I'm trying to get them sore, I want them to be optimal and I think that this is something that is a great venue to help with muscle recovery. I'm tickled to find another way to help them beyond what I have already been doing to try to help them recover post ride/race already.”
