Canine Therapy Sessions

In home Canine Therapy sessions are perfect for reducing the stress on you and your pet. We all know how nervous and anxious some of our companions can get, either in the car, or as soon as you pull up to a veterinary clinic.

I have taken that stressor away, allowing dogs to feel safe, comfortable, and obtain maximum benefit from their sessions with in home visits.

Office visits are also available for those that need that option or are out of my house call visit range.

How would my dog benefit from PEMF therapy, you ask?

  • Increase joint mobility and flexion while decreasing pain that arises from inflammation and arthritic changes in the joints.

  • Increase nerve and muscle function for those getting weaker in their older age, or are struggling with myopathy and neuropathy

  • Increase lymphatic drainage for dogs suffering from allergies and increased levels of inflammation in the body

  • Rapidly increase healing time by promoting blood flow, cellular regeneration, the proliferation of stem cells, and oxygenation to tissue

  • Relieve body pain, soreness, and tension from straining to move properly, go up and down stairs, posture to use the restroom, and getting up from sitting or laying down

  • Increase strength and stamina, whether a young athletic dog that is competing or an elderly companion that has trouble standing for even just a minute.

Heres a great testimonial from one of my clients that had a senior Staffordshire Terrier struggling to get around. Check out what he had to say!

Not only is PEMF so beneficial, it is also very relaxing!

How about the progression of this beagle mix that suffered a torn cruciate at the age of 13! She was successfully rehabilitated to full strength without surgery, using PEMF.

 FAQs

  • YES! This is a very common injury we see in multiple breeds, and can be helped with PEMF and rehabilitation exercises that I offer. While some patients may require surgery, PEMF provides a holistic approach to increased healing and proliferation of tissue to strengthen and stabilize the area. For those that have undergone TPLO surgery, I highly recommend starting therapy and rehabilitation with me within 5 days post surgery.

  • Indeed he can! More often than not, I get the call where the owner has tried other modalities, supplements, or pain medications and their pet is still struggling, but finally they heard about PEMF and are inquiring for help. After the first session or two, the results speak for itself, and I commonly hear, “wow, I wish I would have known about this sooner! My dog has been doing so much better.”

  • It can be discouraging when we don’t see the results that are desired from therapies or manual manipulation. While these modalities can work hand in hand, and I do support them, PEMF can be the answer you are looking for. PEMF can reach deeper into the body, all the way down to the skeletal structure, and provide multiple different benefits that others cannot. Often times I see the best combination to be chiropractic and PEMF as a great maintenance regimen for many of my patients.

  • A vast majority of canine patients I see suffer greatly from arthritic changes and muscle weakness as they age. No one likes to see their companion slowing down or struggling to get up. PEMF sessions decrease their pain and inflammation while providing them with energy and strength to move stronger and with more ease.

  • Yes, Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy provides a gentle wave that passes through the body to the cellular level. Sensations that can be felt are tingling, slight warmth in the body, muscle contraction, and pulsing. The first session is always exciting, as I am a new person, I have fun tools, and it is a new feeling, but all of my patients really enjoy sessions and often lay down and begin snoring!

  • This is determined on a case by case basis. It is very helpful to be proactive vs. reactive anytime we are talking about health, but I understand that our pets can be so stoic and we don’t realize how much pain there is until the signs are significant. Patients that have been suffering with an issue for longer, often times need more sessions than if it were an acute issue, but I can even be surprised by how fast the response time can be. No individual body is the same as another and I base frequency and amount upon body condition and response after therapy.

“Lindsey has been phenomenal for both the humans and canines in my family!! She’s made a huge difference in the comfort level of our senior dogs, as well as our youngster when she torn her ACL. Personally, my family members have used her for eye injuries, back injuries, muscle fatigue and soreness form sports and workouts! Cannot speak highly enough to the value and pain-reducing benefits of PEMF. Additionally, having such a compassionate, caring person deliver the treatment is priceless!”
